Tricky and Fun

This is one of the toughest 3 songs that I bought for violin from Lindsey. A minor is an easy key and you really don't have to shift in this piece if you don't want to. I don't have this one up to Lindsey's tempo yet, but the best word I can use for actually playing it is tricky. If you have had a few years on the violin I feel like this piece is playable. Lindsey has taken a lot of commonly used arpeggios and she's tweaked them in way that if you are classically trained you might have to fight with your fingers not to go with the typical pattern, but once you get your fingers comfortable and work on the tempo, this song gets really cool! I'm a teacher in Japan, and sometimes when the brass band has individual practice, I bring my violin and practice too. The kids are just in awe of this song. They think it sounds SO COOL!
